When Will Smith went all Muhammed Ali on the comedian during the 94th Academy Awards, the latter didn’t show much of a reaction save for deflective humor. He waited a whole year before dishing out the perfect revenge as he hurled roasts toward the Emancipation star during his Netflix special, Selective Outrage.

Rock didn’t shy away from dragging Smith’s relationship with his wife then as he dissected her cheating scandal and left it for the whole world to see. But perhaps the 58-year-old actor had forgotten about his own past indiscretions because you know what they say, it takes one to know one.

When Chris Rock Roasted Will Smith for Getting Cheated On

Even after a year, Will Smith‘s infamous slap continues to remain fresh fodder for gossip. When Chris Rock made a joke about the former’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, he witnessed the wrath of the Oscar-winning actor and got smacked onstage for it. While that alone left half of Hollywood fuming at Smith, many were baffled at Rock’s lack of reaction. Little did they know though, the Grown Ups star was just biding his time before striking back.

On his Netflix stand-up special which aired this year, Rock not only addressed the scandalous slap, but he went ahead to make an absolute mockery out of Smith as well as his marriage. Since the couple’s relationship was already imbued with controversy and chaos owing to their open relationship debacle and Pinkett Smith’s affair, Rock’s stint only added fuel to the fire.

During their Red Table Talk, Pinkett Smith, 51, corroborated the rumors about her affair, admitting that she did indeed cheat on her husband with her son Jaden’s friend, August Alsina. And in light of the same, the Spiral star then went on to unapologetically ridicule Smith and his wife. “And, for people that don’t know what everybody knows, his wife was f**king her son’s friend, OK?” Rock said during his Netflix special.

Yikes. As if his wife hasn’t been on the receiving end of the same plights that Will Smith has.

It Takes An Infidel to Know One?

Back in 2016, the actor and comedian split from his wife, Malaak Compton-Rock, after two decades of marriage. The Fargo star would later confess his transgressions in a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone and come clean about cheating on his partner with not one, but three different women, one of whom reportedly turned out to be Kerry Washington.

“I was a piece of sh*t,” Rock said, claiming he regretted his actions which were apparently driven by the stereotypical notion that since he was the provider and the man of the family, he would be exempt from such scandals. Of course, he later saw the error of his ways. “That’s bullsh*t,” he admitted. That actually goes the other way. My faults are magnified.”

Hypocritical much?
