Tom Hardy Was An Alcoholic By The Age of 13
Before his breakthrough roles and iconic grunting characters, Tom Hardy had a pretty rough childhood growing up. Talking about the cathartic journey that the actor had to witness, there were some pretty harrowing things in his life that seem shocking.
As per the reports gathered from what the actor said during his interviews, it was revealed that Hardy was an adventurous young kid. While always looking for trouble, the Peaky Blinders actor found calmness in drinking his worries away. At the young age of 13, the Venom actor became addicted to alcohol. In an interview, Hardy recalled the moment he discovered drinking.
“When I found drinking at 13…I felt calm. I thought this must be how everyone else feels, and I wanted more of it.”
Being an alcoholic at the age of 13 was already bad since later on, Tom Hardy‘s school had to forcefully expel the actor for stealing. After being admitted into Reed’s School, the actor got quickly bored of the dull life.
Not long after, the actor was caught stealing and the school had to expel him. This wasn’t the worst for him since the Taboo actor revealed that he once stole an expensive car and drove around town…all the while carrying a firearm!

Being an alcoholic at 13 seems wild but Tom Hardy has also done some other stuff that would seem pretty great for a wild kid. At the age of 15, Hardy revealed that he once stole a Mercedes and traveled through the town. The wild thing was that he did all of this all the while possessing a firearm!
Although through many such ordeals, the Legend actor passed through and eventually made it successful in the Hollywood industry. The actor is currently attached to 5 other upcoming projects which include a third installment to the Venom franchise and Mad Max: The Wasteland.
