Gillian Anderson was recently inspired by this book and started a new project where she will accept any letters from women who share their s*xual fantasies. The letters will be made into a book that will be published by Bloomsbury, and ofcourse the letters sent would be anonymous. She shared,
“Here is the key. I want to hear from you. This will be an anonymous, revelatory book compiling your letters to me to explore how women think about s*x. Because when we talk about s*x, we talk about womanhood and motherhood, infidelity and exploitation, consent and respect, fairness and egalitarianism, love and hate, pleasure and pain.
Is there a fantasy you’ve never told anyone about? Something you’d share with only the most trusted of confidants, if anyone at all? Wherever you come from, whomever you do or don’t sleep with, whether you’re eighteen or eighty: I want to hear from you.”
Anderson added that if anyone wants to send a letter to her, they should write the letter by starting with, “Dear Gillian” , provided an email address (www.deargillian.com) where the letters would be submitted and also mentioned the end date for this program which will be February 28th.
The Compilation Book Will Be Published by Bloomsbury Trade
Bloomsbury Trade will be responsible for producing and publishing the book that will be the new generation-defining book, holding thousands of deepest fantasies, secrets, fears amoung many other things of multiples women from all over the globe. Alexis Kirschbaum the current head of Bloomsbury Trade has made a statement saying that he has always been interested in the private lives and fantasies of women. He added,
“I have also been aware in publishing these books of the importance of how these fantasies are told, protected, characterised and curated; that is, how women can be free in their expression of sexual desire.
To publish a book in which women’s desires are protected and taken seriously, I realised partnering with a public figure who embodied these values would be crucial. Gillian Anderson’s editorship will help us draw in a wide-range of letters from all corners of the world, and I cannot wait to read the letters she chooses to include in her collection”
