“I though everybody has forgotten me”: Everything Everywhere All at Once Star Ke Huy Quan Reveals His Wife is Sick of Him Crying Every Night When Actor Made Fairy Tale Comeback After Vanishing from Hollywood

The story of a forgotten superstar who reclaims his place in the Hollywood industry is a tale that many film directors from the industry as well as authors and even other superstars have either told through stories or recreated on their own. And recently, we witnessed the return of a fan-favorite actor from the 80s and 90s, who many had forgotten. The actor in this conversation is none other than The Goonies star, Ke Huy Quan.

Being missing from any major or minor films in the film industry, he had a feeling that he might never be back on the big screen again. This changed when he was cast for the supporting role in the Award-Winning film Everything Everywhere All At Once, alongside Michelle Yeoh as the lead. And after receiving a Golden Globes Award, he cannot help himself from tearing up as Hollywood opens its arms again for the star.

Popular for his roles as Short Round in Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Doom and Data from The Goonies, actor Ke Huy Quan lived a short moment of fame before the industry decided that he had given all that he could to them. Thus, after those films, there was nothing that had his face on the list of cast members again. But all that changed when the audience saw him again in the now Oscar-Nominated film, Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Even after shooting the film, it was hard for him to find any roles, the release of the film proved to be a boon for the actor, as it went on to win him a Golden Globe Award for the best supporting actor role. And with the industry now celebrating his return, he cannot help but get emotional now and then. In fact, he has been so emotional with all the praise and well-wishes he’s been getting that his sentimental bursts are getting more frequent. In a recent interview with Stephen Colbert on his talk show, he revealed that his wife is probably sick of his crying. He said:

“Honestly, things are so different for me now than they were back then. I am really blessed and I feel very, very grateful. Honestly, ever since I got back into acting this has been such an emotional journey I have cried so much, my wife is so sick of me crying. I thought everybody had forgotten me, but since the movie came out, there’s been so much positivity and so much kindness, so thank you so much.”

Now, as he slowly gets back to his rightful place in the industry, there are many opportunities soon to follow him again.
