Recently, the the-19-year-old actor shared that she got engaged to Jon Bon Jovi’s 20-year-old son, Jake Bongiovi. The Enola Holmes star took to the Instagram official on November 21 to share a blurry photo of the couple after the rumor of sparking romance surfaced. The couple were spotted holding hands through New York City. Later, they made their red carpet debut at the 2022 BAFTAs.
Following that. the couple has been active on socials updating their lives to the fans.
At the beginning of the year, Brown shared several pictures recalling 2022, calling Bongiovi her “partner for life.”
“Endlessly in love with the year I’ve had! grateful for my friends, family, donkey (bernard), my doggies, my puppies teeth, and my partner for life,” the post read.

Wishing on her 19th birthday, Jake Bongiovi posted another Instagram post captioning, “Another year around the sun together happy 19th to the girl of my dreams.” “I love you more than words can describe. Everything about you is golden down to the core,” he added.
The Couple Got Engaged
Addressing the fans, Millie Bobby Brown and Bongiovi announced their engagement on Instagram official on April 11. Brown posted a photo of herself on the platform wearing a diamond ring on her left hand as Bongiovi embraced her on a beach. Captioning the monochrome photograph she referred to lyrics from Taylor Swift’s “Lover,” “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all 🤍.”
Bongiovi also shared their moment of love, sharing photos from the same spot, from a different angle. Hugging her in the two photographs on the post looking at each other with love on a boat. He captioned, “Forever 🤍.”
Following the announcement of their engagement, the couple has faced heavy criticism online. Mostly, for their age. The comment box of the post is filled with mostly negative comments. “What? She’s eleven,” one commented. “Isn’t she only 19 years old?” another asked. Commenting on the age, another person said, “Omgg too young.”
While another fan condemned the engagement, “Child marriage should not be happening.”
Of course, there are mixed reactions among fans while some are upset with the news some have come to support the couple.
Jon Bon Jovi Breaks Silence on the Criticism
American rockstar Jon Bon Jovi came out to support and defend his son’s relationship with the Stranger Things actor. Appearing on Andy Cohen’s Sirius XM show Radio Andy the music legend discussed their relationship.
“I don’t know if age matters, if you find the right partner and you grow together,” Bon Jovi said. “I think that would be my advice really: Growing together is wise” he added.
“I think that all of my kids have found the people that they think they can grow together with, and we like them all,” Bon Jovi told host Andy Cohen.
The host Cohen asked the musician if he watched his soon-to-be daughter-in-law starrer Stranger Things. He responded, “I’ve seen it of course.” “Millie is wonderful. Her whole family are great. Jake is very, very happy,” he added.
It appears the couple has Bon Jovi’s blessings.
