Tom Holland and Zendaya are the latest teen sensation. Social media platforms track their every move and there are already plenty of rumors about them getting married or engaged. While none of these rumors have been confirmed to be true by any of the parties, it’s certainly fascinating to hear about.
But this is all quite recent. Before there was Zendaya and Tom Holland, the Spider-Man actor wanted there to be him and Elizabeth Olsen. The Uncharted star once gushed about how much he loved WandaVision and was obsessed with the show. Turns out, he was obsessed with the lead star of the series as well.
Tom Holland Confessed His Love For Elizabeth Olsen Without Hesitation
In an interview with British GQ, Tom Holland was asked if he could pick any love interest from the MCU for Spider-Man, who would it be. He did think about it a bit but ultimately settled on Elizabeth Olsen because she’s hot. The star said:
“I think Scarlet Witch is pretty hot, you know? I think Elizabeth Olsen is super hot. And really nice as well. She was really nice to me at the premiere. So yeah, probably Scarlet Witch.”
Currently, the Spider-Man actor is 27 years old while the Scarlet Witch actress is 34. So there’s an eight-year age gap between the two. However, that certainly didn’t stop Holland from wanting his Spider-Man to be with Olsen’s witch. However, apart from her looks, the Cherry star also admired and thanked his Marvel co-star for giving him a valuable piece of advice.
Tom Holland Expressed Gratitude Towards Elizabeth Olsen For Giving Him Life-Saving Advice
In an interview with GQ magazine, Tom Holland revealed that he had faked his confidence when he was younger. The actor said that even though he used to appear put-together, in reality, he was terrified on the inside. However, he was able to overcome that feeling thanks to an amazing piece of advice by Elizabeth Olsen. Holland said:
‘I actually learned this from Elizabeth Olsen. She gave me an amazing piece of advice: ‘No’ is a full sentence. ‘No’ is enough.”
But Holland didn’t just gush over Olsen. He also complimented Zendaya for helping him with his mental health and helping him navigate fame. He said:
“You have a responsibility to kind of uphold this idea of being a role model to young kids. And, arguably, she’s (Zendaya) the best at that… It was so wonderful to have someone like her in my corner, to help me grow through that process … Having her as a friend has been so valuable to the success and happiness of my career and life.”
The Crowded Room star has taken a break from working for a year and rumors are swirling that he and Zendaya might take their relationship to the next level in this time. Whether this happens or not will be interesting to see.
