Rising to stardom at such a young age had its fair share of setbacks for Daniel Radcliffe. Considering he was still a 13-year-old kid during the time of the first release in the Harry Potter franchise, facing the media spotlight for the first time was not an easy task for Radcliffe.
Being the center of attention wasn’t too delightful for a young Radcliffe, as he doesn’t share too fond memories from his first Red Carpet event. Tuning in with the actor, Sandra Bullock too admitted that the Red Carpets can be pretty stressful at times, as she empathized with her costar.
Sandra Bullock tunes in with Daniel Radcliffe’s viewpoint on Red Carpet Events
Major celebrities have often come out to address the fact that Red Carpet Events can be pretty stressful at times and Sandra Bullock shares the same viewpoint. Being at the forefront of Hollywood for over four decades, Sandra Bullock has partaken in a plethora of Red Carpet events, and it isn’t exactly the best thing. And when Daniel Radcliffe recounted his first Red Carpet event being terrifying, Bullock tuned in with Radcliffe, claiming it can be extremely stressful at times.
Radcliffe said,
“I remember really not being happy. The first premiere I went to was really terrifying.”
Bullock tuned in by saying,
“It’s the judgment and the look of not being able to pull off what they want you to pull off. And answering a question in the wrong way. Sweating, a lot of schvitzing.”
But apart from having a similar perception of Red Carpet events, the two had a great time working together in The Lost City, even though she had her initial doubts regarding working with the actor.
Sandra Bullock admitted she was wrong about Daniel Radcliffe
Sandra Bullock and Radcliffe joined forces to star in The Lost City, but unlike the Harry Potter star, who was enthralled to work with the Speed actress, Bullock didn’t share the same perspective at the beginning. Considering the actress had no previous experience with Daniel Radcliffe, she assumed the actor would be no different than an “entitled child actor who’s grown into an adult”. However, the Miss Congeniality star couldn’t be more wrong, as she claimed she couldn’t help but admire the British actor. She explained,
“I don’t know, I just came to really admire and like him so much, because he was not at all what I expected him to be. He was nothing even close to that.”
Daniel Radcliffe also had nothing but respect for the actress, as he claimed working with Sandra Bullock was more exciting to the actor than working with other icons in the Harry Potter franchise.
The Lost City is available to stream on Paramount Plus.
