All three of them are famous actors and their range is just as amazing. Although as celebrities they may be some of the best; they are very different people when it comes to being a family.
The actress grew up with both her parents for quite a part of her life and some significant moments were even hidden by the Stranger Things actress. Although she did have a bit of back and forth with her father, in the end, she was able to achieve exactly what she wanted; getting away with something she never expected.
Maya Hawke Admitted to a Secret She Kept from Ethan Hawke
Maya Hawke made a huge gamble with her father Ethan Hawke when she decided to sneak out of her house. When the actress was much younger, she decided to lie and go out. However, she failed to inform her family about what exactly her whereabouts were.
“He gave me a real hard time. He went, ‘Where were you? Where did you go?’”
She was a ghost according to her parents and could not be found. Upon her return, she was met with a furious Ethan Hawke, who kept questioning her about where she went and what she was doing. To make sure her father could not find out, she lied to him about being in therapy, making sure he did not question her any further about what she was actually doing without telling her parents. It wasn’t until an interview question that she actually revealed just exactly what she was up to.
Maya Hawke Lied About A Big Part of Her Life
Maya Hawke later revealed just why she had to lie to her father. When Ethan Hawke kept asking her questions, the actress noticed just how furious he had gotten about not knowing where his daughter was. To calm him down she lied and told him that she had just gone to therapy. What she was really doing was something Hawke would have perhaps scolded her even more for.
“Oh, I lied about where I said that I was going to therapy, and I really went to lose my virginity,” she added.“I can’t believe I just said that, but that’s the truth.”
Instead of going to counseling, the actress was losing her virginity; something she most definitely was forced to hide from her father. She even told him that she can never keep secrets from him if she cannot lie to him, something he ultimately came to understand.
