Henry Cavill will surely bring his charisma and charm in the form of a protagonistic character but also seems to be working on a Warhammer Cinematic Universe simultaneously.
The Enola Holmes actor shared the wonderful news in an Instagram post and in the caption he wrote,
“For 30 years I have dreamt of seeing a Warhammer universe in live action. Now, after 22 years of experience in this industry, I finally feel that I have the skill set and experience to guide a Warhammer Cinematic Universe into life”.
Fans of Henry Cavill as well as gamer fans are beyond elated by the sharing of this news since Warhammer 40,000 is deemed one of the best miniature wargames in the world. Although not many details have been revealed yet, the actor subtly took a dig at The Witcher universe.
How Henry Cavill Subtly Dissed The Witcher Franchise
Between the above-mentioned caption, Henry Cavill’s line spoke volumes which subtly took a diss at The Witcher franchise. In the caption, the British actor wrote,
“And having a home like Amazon will give us the freedom to be true to the massive scope of Warhammer”.
After his departure from The Witcher franchise, it was rumored that Henry Cavill had a disagreement with showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich because she did not respect the lore enough and wanted to do things her own way. Cavill on the other hand loved the books by Andrzej Sapkowski and wanted to stay true to the lore of the books. Citing the reason to be “creative difference”, the Black Adam actor had to leave the franchise.
With Amazon set to be the supporting house of the Warhammer Cinematic Universe, Cavill subtly states that they will stay true to the lore of the game. The Justice League actor has been a beloved and devoted gamer throughout his life and seems to be dedicating his skills to what he loves the most.
