The Harry Potter franchise is one of the most popular and immensely loved films series, based on books by J.K. Rowling. The movie introduced Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) in 2001. The actors were part of the franchise for more than a decade and activated global stardom for their roles. The actress Emma Watson is still known for her role as Hermoine Granger from the Harry Potter series. However, there was once a time when the actress wanted to quit the film series.
As per the reports, Emma Watson was doubtful about her return as a Hermoine Granger after doing the fifth installment of the film series. She shared later about being thankful that she stayed part of the films till the end.
Emma Watson wanted to leave the Harry Potter series
According to reports by Digital Spy, Emma Watson was once unsure of being part of the further installments of the Harry Potter franchise. The star shared that she felt scared of her newfound fame. Director David Yates recalled that the young actress wanted to back out from the series in her teen years. The actress shared in the interview,
“I can see that. At times, I was lonely. I think I was scared. I don’t know if you ever felt like it got to a tipping point when you were like… ‘This is kind of forever now’.”
However, she decided against her initial doubts and worked on the further installments of the franchise.
The Beauty and the Beast actress was once asked how she would have felt if she had left the franchise. The actress shared with TIME,
“I probably would have been public enemy No. 1. I would have found it very difficult watching the movies being made without me as a part of them because I grew up making them. Being a part of this film franchise feels like part of my identity in a way. I would have gotten a lot more sleep. But I definitely made the right decision.”
Emma Watson was part of the franchise for more than ten years along with Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.

The film franchise was wildly successful and stands as the third-highest-grossing film series of all time. The films earned a total of $7.7 billion at the global box office.
