Chris Pratt deemed Jackie Chan as one of his inspirations for becoming an actor

Considering that the actor grew up in the 80s, there’s no wonder why Chris Pratt fell in love with action movies. As this era witnessed some of the most beloved action stars of all time, including his father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger. But apart from action, the actor later found solace in comedy and soon become a huge fan of Jackie Chan and several other action stars, which ignited his desire to become an actor.

Following his love for action and comedy, the Marvel star has expressed that he tried to combine both in the roles he is assigned. And it can be said that his formula has been pretty successful till now. He said,

“Now, I am trying to do a combination of both. I don’t know whether I like one more than the other. I like to do roles where I can fuse them both together”’

At the present, the actor is set to reprise his role as Star-Lord in the threequel of Guardians of the Galaxy. But considering that James Gunn is set to leave the MCU after the threequel, Pratt’s future in MCU is still under wraps. However, the actor has expressed that he is open to the idea of reuniting with his friend outside the realms of the MCU.

Chris Pratt is open to the idea of reuniting with James Gunn outside the MCU

With his future in the MCU after Guardians of the Galaxy under Vol. 3 under wraps, Chris Pratt has expressed his idea to work with Gunn in the DCU. Although the actor still hasn’t been contacted for any specific role in the new DCU, the Marvel star is open to the idea of working with his great friend James Gunn again. He said.

“I don’t have anything official to announce. I haven’t spoken to James Gunn in any capacity to where he’s offered me anything like that,” Pratt told CBR. “But listen, I love the guy. You know, he’s one of my best friends. I totally believe in him. And if he calls me, I am answering.”
