Despite being a part of the billion-dollar Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tom Holland feels lacking since he never got the chance to star in the Harry Potter franchise. Growing up, the young Briton was obsessed with Harry Potter. Having read all the books and seen the movies, he feels confident that he might know even more than JK Rowling.
In an interview back in 2020 with BBC Radio 1, he told the host Ali Plumb about how he would smash any Harry Potter quiz. Holland went on to tell how he plans to give a quiz early the next morning at his local pub,
“I will smash that quiz. I think I might know more about Harry Potter than J.K. Rowling. I am like obsessed with Harry Potter. Growing up as a kid, it was my favorite thing ever.”
Later on, Holland proceeded to take a Harry Potter quiz when he next appeared on BBC Radio 1. As obsessed Holland is about the Harry Potter world, his fans are just as happy about Holland sharing their love for one of the world’s biggest franchises ever.
Tom Holland Smashes Harry Potter Quiz On BBC Radio 1
When Holland made the bold statement saying he would smash any Potterhead quiz, many fans were skeptical about the British actor’s knowledge of the magical Wizarding World. However, when he next appeared on BBC Radio 1, along with Zendaya, he thrilled everyone with his Harry Potter knowledge.
Fans were delighted to know Zendaya is a die-hard Potterhead as well, as the duo went on to effortlessly answer questions regarding the famous wizarding pets. Holland also joked,
“You know what’s so funny though. I can remember all of that stuff. But when I was at school and you said to me, ‘do a simultaneous equation,’ my brain was like — no, not happening. But I can tell you all the Horcruxes, everything.”
Unfortunately, fate wasn’t as nice to Tom Holland when he next appeared to take on Round 2 of the quiz, getting only two right out of the seven questions asked. Nonetheless, it’s great to see Tom Holland’s love for the franchise, giving us another reason to love him.
With the Harry Potter series in development on Max, who knows this time we might get to see Tom Holland in the Wizarding World.
