DC star Amber Heard recently moved to her new house in Madrid, Spain. Allegedly, wanting a private life for herself and her daughter Oonagh had pushed her to make this decision to relocate.

And while many would be sad to leave their own country and move across the continent just to get away from the public scrutiny and gossip, Heard seems to be thriving there.

Admittedly looking a lot happier and smiling for the paparazzi, the actress was spotted many times enjoying some quality time with her daughter in her new neighborhood.

And her new living situation seems to be permanent as the actress recently said in an interview that she absolutely loves living in Spain.

The defamation lawsuit following her divorce from Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp came to a head last summer.

Following a six-week publicized trial, where both parties accused each other of causing harassment and violence against them, the Jury gave a verdict that was mostly in favor of Depp, after scrutinizing the evidence and witnesses.

And, though Heard initially planned to appeal for a re-trial, the constant public scrutiny seemed to have taken a toll on her.

As such, both Depp and Amber Heard settled last December with the Gully star having to pay almost a million as a settlement fee. She was quick to ditch the United States following the settlement and bought a luxurious $2 million home in Madrid for a fresh start.

She had been living there ever since and has been often spotted going on runs, or just familiarizing herself and her daughter to the new neighborhood. The mother-daughter pair are also seen regularly visiting nearby parks and even having trips to the museum.

During such an outing, Amber Heard gave her first public interview after the settlement and her consequent relocation to an entirely new continent.

As mentioned, the actress has always had smiles and pleasantries for the paparazzi there. Upon being asked how she is liking Spain, she replied in fluent Spanish,

“I love Spain so much. I hope I can get to stay here, I love living here. I hope you are good, it was a pleasure meeting you. I have to move forward, huh? That’s life.”

As a result, it seems the actress is well and truly focused on making a fresh start for herself and seems well on her way to achieving that.

Amber Heard’s uncertain return to Hollywood

Although the actress is reprising her role in Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom this December, her return to Hollywood after that remains uncertain.

Even with her allegedly being excited to make a comeback in Hollywood, after the reception she received following the conclusion of the Depp vs Heard defamation trial, her future in the industry seems turbulent.

Not only that but earlier this year, a correspondent of Daily Mail, Alison Boshoff claimed that Heard has apparently quit Hollywood, something she claimed to hear from the actress’ friend herself.

As a result, only time will tell if she indeed will return to become a permanent fixture of tinsel town. However, as far as her moving back to America is concerned, there seems no possibility of it for now.
