Angelina Jolie made her Marvel debut with a star-studded in 2021. Although the film had all the elements of being called a ‘Marvel’ film, it failed to make its mark upon the audience and is now ranked among the lowest-grossing films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even after its terrible box office performance, Jolie is willing to remain in the Marvel-verse.
Actors, whether successful or not, have to remain careful of the roles they do. Most even decide to leave franchises mid-way if their films don’t perform well. But Angelina Jolie, despite Eternals only grossing $401 million worldwide, has her heart set to remain part of the Marvel ‘family’.
Angelina Jolie Wants To Remain Part Of The Marvel Family
The Eternals was a whiff of fresh air in the complex world of superheroes. An interesting tale, it nonetheless received mixed reviews after its release and now lies among the lowest-grossing films of Marvel. However, the film late became one of the most streamed ones in the next year. Even though the film failed to make its mark at the box office, Angelina Jolie does not wish to depart from the Marvel family.
In The Eternals, Angelina Jolie plays the superhero Thena, having the unique ability to conjure numerous weapons out of nowhere. Despite the ill-reception of the film, fans were delighted to see the star finally play a superhero, a feat many had been waiting for years to witness. In an interview for Brazilian outlet CinePop, the Maleficent actress remarked,
“I loved being part of the family, so I have no desire to separate from the family.”
While there have been no reports of a sequel to the film, Jolie went ahead to remark she wouldn’t want a solo Thena movie but would rather stay with the whole Eternals family.

Angelina Jolie Wants To Explore The Eternals’ Journey
The idea of the family greatly resonates with Angelina Jolie, hence she wants to get together with The Eternals family again. She also mentioned how it would be exciting to explore more into their life and journey through the years.
“I would be happy to play her again and explore even more deeply the struggles that she has. I think it’s fun thinking of where they’ve been over the years. We’ve got thousands of years worth of material. We can take her anywhere.”
The Tourist star also stated that perhaps the Eternals can also gate-crash other Marvel storylines.
“I think that’s fun and I like the idea that we can pop up somewhere, maybe in other Marvel movies.”
Although it would be lovely to have Eternals feature in other Marvel films, the possibility of a sequel looks bleak.
The Eternals is available to stream on Disney+.
