After this movie, there was no turning back for Michelle Pfeiffer, who shot to superstardom with her acting genius even though the movie mainly received negative reviews from the critics.

However, the Witches of the Eastwick movie star once revealed in an interview that she allegedly hated doing Grease 2. She said,

“I hated that film [Grease 2] with a vengeance and could not believe how bad it was. At the time, was young and didn’t know better… I hear it’s a cult movie now.” 

According to reports, the Santa Ana native later denied claims that she despised her 1982 film. She posted a story on her Instagram and penned, “One should never trust a publication to get quotes right if they can’t even bother to spell the person’s name correctly.” The actress added that this project holds a special place in her heart and journey in showbiz.

In 2019, during her appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Pfeiffer said,

“It was a total fluke that I got that part. My agent told me just to go. I wasn’t a dancer, I wasn’t a singer, and I was in this little short purple skirt with gogo boots.”

The actress continued,

“We had these dancing auditions, and it was literally like A Chorus Line. This line goes, and then the next line goes, so, I kept sneaking in the back. Finally, it was only me, and I did. I did get the part, shockingly enough.” 

Michelle Pfeiffer ventured into Hollywood and made her acting debut with minor television and film appearances and later established a name for herself with her fascinating roles in films like The Fabulous Baker Boys, Ant-Man and the Wasp, The Age of Innocence, and Married to the Mob.
