Chris Pratt took over as a guest host on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2017 when Kimmel was out for surgery. Pratt appeared on the show to promote his upcoming movie at the time, Jurassic World. The Guardians of the Galaxy actor, in Jimmy Kimmel style, gave a funny monologue, interacted with Guillermo, and had a great conversation with the show’s guest for the week, the gorgeous Margot Robbie.
Robbie was there on the show to promote her movie I, Tonya, which was released around that time. Both the stars had a lot of things to discuss, but one particularly interesting discussion was the Barbie actress growing up in Australia.
Chris Pratt Posed A Stereotypical Question To Margot Robbie
During the conversation, Chris Pratt was interested to hear from Margot Robbie about her upbringing. The Wolf of Wall Street actress had spent her childhood on a Currumbin Valley farm in the Gold Coast hinterland of Australia. The Passengers actor asked Robbie a funny stereotypical question after establishing that he hated stereotypes:
“I hate stereotype. Like everyone thinks, Oh you’re from Australia, there are creepy crawly poisonous venomous things all over the place. But… Are there creepy crawly poisonous venomous things all over the place?”
The Babylon actress confirmed the presence of venomous snakes, spiders, and sharks, mentioning that a large percentage of the world’s poisonous snakes reside in Australia. However, the Amsterdam actress responded that she never concentrated on the dangers posed by these poisonous creatures as they were part of her everyday life growing up in Australia.
Chris Pratt Wanted To Know How Many Of Margot Robbie’s Friends Were Dead
Chris Pratt was not ready to let go of the ‘snakes’ aspect in Margot Robbie’s life. Even after asserting that she was unbothered by the snakes, Pratt continued with his curious questions asking, “Like if 10 of your closest friends growing up, how many of them were killed by poisonous spiders or snakes? Seven?”
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress was humored by this question and responded that none of her friends or anyone she knew died. However, she said that snakes often found their way into their home, but they would just get them out, even using a stick to remove the poisonous ones. The Tomorrow War actor was visibly creeped out by this story.
The Suicide Squad actress further revealed a particular instance when a python tried to strangle her mother after Robbie refused to help her mom remove the giant python from their property. It appears that the Bombshell actress was brought up in a bold environment where she learned to handle challenging situations.
Margot Robbie’s latest movie Barbie has become the highest-grossing movie of 2023, solidifying her status as one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood. Barbie is now successfully running in theatres.
