Joe Rogan hates the concept of Smart Hulk

In his recent podcast with B-Real, Joe Rogan once again went on to denounce Marvel and Kevin Feige for butchering the character of Hulk in Avengers: Endgame. The 52-year-old rapper also got along with Rogan’s rant on the MCU, as Rogan called out Marvel for destroying Hulk and turning the rageful monster into a goofier version of himself. Rogan stated.

“What they’re doing is they’re experimenting with these time-held characters that we love so din early you can’t just do that. Make a new character don’t make a smart hulk you f-ckers, he’s not smart that’s the whole point.”

Rogan also went on to express his love for the original Hulk from earlier Marvel movies and stressed that he should have stayed that way. And it wasn’t only Rogan who was pissed about Marvel’s decision to tone down Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk in the MCU. But a huge portion of the fandom has also shared their distaste for the character and has been asking for a rightful depiction of the Hulk.

The future of Hulk in the MCU is uncertain

It’s been a while since the entry of a proper Hulk in live-action and fans have been craving for a faithful depiction of Hulk for years. And even though the reason behind Marvel’s hesitancy towards making a sequel to The Incredible Hulk is a result of Universal owning Hulk’s first look rights, the green monster’s future after She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is kind of under wraps.

And considering the upcoming line-up of Phases 5 and 6, Hulk may not be the prime focus of the MCU at the moment. And it appears that Marvel’s main motive for the following years is to craft the new Avengers line-up for the upcoming Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.

But considering that Mark Ruffalo has previously expressed that he is down to do the role of Hulk for however long the MCU demands, fans are hoping that MCU will soon deliver a proper Hulk-centric story in the future. And both Rogan and fans will hope that Marvel soon drops the Smart Hulk prop and deliver the rageful monster that is true to its roots.
