Aubrey Plaza is one of the most memorable actresses in Hollywood. From her role in the sitcom Parks and Recreation, movies like Ingrid Goes West and now becoming a Marvel actress, she certainly leaves an impression with her acting. Her sense of humor and quite dark and deadpan which only makes her fans love her more.
While the actress stars in HBO’s Emmy-winning series The White Lotus, it appears that she is not a big fan of streaming platforms, going as far as to say that they make her quite angry.
Why Does Aubrey Plaza Hate Streaming Platforms?
Aubrey Plaza did an interview with Vanity Fair recently where she went on to talk about how she is not a big fan of streaming services. She mentioned that while she was trying to watch the cooking show, Top Chef, the actress was having trouble trying to figure out how Hulu + Live works.
“I get really angry,” Plaza said about using streamers. “I was trying to watch Top Chef Season 20. Couldn’t figure out how to get Hulu + Live. I give up! I can’t. I just can’t. And so what I like to do is go on iTunes and buy movies that are old. Or I’ll go on iTunes and just, like, buy the whole Sopranos series, and then my husband will be like, ‘You literally can watch that for free on HBO Max.’”
After a while, the actress just gave up and bought the entire series on iTunes instead. Apparently, she has done with the mafia series, The Sopranos, as well which resulted in her husband, Jeff Baena, telling her that she could simply have watched it on HBO Max for free.
Aubrey Plaza Bought The Sopranos on iTunes and Binged it with Jake Johnson
Aubrey Plaza also recently revealed that she had not seen the final season of The Sopranos, despite having starred in The White Lotus with Michael Imperioli, who plays one of the protagonists in the mafia series. The actress watched this finale 15 years after it aired along with New Girl and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse star, Jake Johnson.
“I’m shook,” She said after finally watching the polarizing “The Sopranos” series finale. “Yesterday I was like, ’Oh my God, what do you think happened?’ And [Jake] was like, ‘I don’t know but I was crying,’ and I was like, ‘I was crying too.’ I was like, ‘This is ridiculous, that we’re going through “Sopranos” finale stuff.’”
She went on to say that talk about how bizarre the experience was with Johnson where they would keep guessing what was gonna happen next and were shocked throughout. Plaza and Johnson ended up crying together during the finale.
