Scarlett Johansson enjoyed filming romantic scenes with Ewan McGregor

The Marriage Story fame worked with actor Ewan McGregor in the film The Island. In the movie, they played the role of two clones who realize something was wrong in the facility they live in, hence they try to escape. As per the plot, the actress had a love scene and Johansson had a great time filming it with her co-star.

In an interview with Female First, Scarlett Johansson shared,

“I get paid to make out with Ewan McGregor and roll around in bed all day. It’s a hard job but somebody has to do it.”

However, the actress revealed that she was not impressed by the kissing style of the actor and said,

“He kissed me like a 16-year-old schoolboy.”

Scarlett Johansson opened up about working in genre movies

Avengers: Endgame fame Scarlett Johansson shared in an interview that one of the reasons for taking the film The Island was because of Ewan McGregor. Talking about the film, she revealed that she was immediately drawn to the project after reading the script. She added that, at the time, she was doing another movie.

Talking to IGN, Johansson stated,

“I love genre movies when they are done really well. I think they accomplish what a film is trying to do – allow you to escape your life for a couple of hours and I was bowled over on my own when I read the script. I wanted to work with Michael, I wanted to work with Ewan.”

The Island was an American dystopian science-fiction action thriller film. It was directed and co-produced by Michael Bay and was adapted from a story by Caspian Tredwell-Owen. The star cast included Ewan McGregor, Scarlett Johansson, Djimon Hounsou, Sean Bean, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Steve Buscemi. The film was made with a budget of $126 million and grossed around $162 million worldwide.

As per reports, the creators of the 1979 film Parts: The Clonus Horror, which was also about a colony that harbored clones to harvest organs for the rich people, filed a copyright infringement suit on the production. DreamWorks tried to dismiss it but a federal judge stated that there was indeed a copyright infringement case, which would be heard. The trial was supposed to start in February 2007. However, DreamWorks closed the lawsuit out of court in late 2006 with an undisclosed seven-figure amount.
