Sandra Bullock, the actress known for starring in notable and iconic movies like Gravity and The Lost City had once starred in a 2009 sports/drama movie. In an iconic interview with the real-life Michael Oher, the NFL legend once blamed Bullock for his downfall.

Sandra Bullock portrayed the character of Leigh Anne Tuohy in the 2009 movie. Michael Oher, the NFL star revealed that the players saw what was off the field rather than how he played on the field. Allegedly blaming Bullock for his downgrade, Michael Oher claimed the 2009 movie led to his downfall as a player.

NFL Legend Blames Sandra Bullock For His Career Downfall

After starring in the 2009 movie, Sandra Bullock won her first Oscar for the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role. Although the actress found her first Oscar, the real-life NFL legend on who this story was based, had complaints about the film.

Although the film depicted the underdog story of Michael Oher, his NFL teammates apparently took a different viewpoint on their teammate. The movie depicted the struggles that Oher had to go through and the support of his family. Albeit the movie did well, the NFL legend claimed that the movie’s depiction of his career was downgraded.

“People look at me, and they take things away from me because of a movie. They don’t really see the skills and the kind of player I am. That’s why I get downgraded so much, because of something off the field.”

The real-life legend further commented how he was grateful to the family that adopted him, Oher stated that nobody does that anymore.

“To take somebody from my neighborhood into your house? Nobody does that. I don’t think I’d even do that. I’d help you out, but with a daughter and with the violence and drugs where I came from … they didn’t have to do that. I owe them a lot.”

“We had all been kept in solitary confinement from each other… when we all found ourselves like sardines in the trailer that first day, it was like the dam burst and we all made up for lost time. I saw a group of women support each other in the most humbling way.”
