Millie Bobby Brown, the actress who rose to fame as Eleven on Netflix’s hit shows Stranger Things, has been making waves lately with her successful business ventures and production company. But what about her acting career?
Rumors have been swirling that Brown plans to quit acting after achieving massive financial success. Is there any truth to these rumors?
Millie Bobby Brown’s Impressive Career
At just 13 years old, Millie Bobby Brown launched PCMA, a production company she runs with her family. The company has successfully released Enola Holmes 2, a film series based on Nancy Springer’s Enola Holmes Mysteries novel series. Brown stars in the series as the titular character and serves as a producer.
In addition to her work as a producer, Millie Bobby Brown launched Florence by Mills, a beauty brand that celebrates uniqueness and is environmentally friendly. The brand has been a hit globally and is available at Ulta and Target in the States.
But what about acting? Is Brown ready to leave that behind? She has indeed added other interests to her resume, including enrolling in college classes in 2021, but she has not announced any plans to quit acting.
Millie Bobby Brown Is Not Quitting Acting
Millie Bobby Brown has several acting projects lined up. At the time of her interview with A.Frame, Brown confirmed Stranger Things’ fifth and final season that she returned to as Eleven for the last time.
Millie Bobby Brown will also star in Damsel, a film where she plays a princess who must use her wits to fight for her life and kingdom. The film is set to release in October 2023. And in The Electric State, she will play an orphaned teen searching for her missing younger brother with the help of a robot. The American science fiction adventure movie will release in 2024.
Brown has always been passionate about acting and has clarified that it is not off the table.
“When I was younger, everything had to feel organic and right for me at my age, I felt very lucky to be able to do the roles that I’ve done. But now I get to really fulfill that actor role because I’m of age.”
Millie Bobby Brown has also discussed her desire to inspire young people through her projects.
“Ultimately, all I wanted to do within my career is help young girls and young people out there know that I, too, go through things. I’m not this perfect person that is selling skin-care products and [who is] in Stranger Things. I absolutely have made wrong decisions.”
Despite her full plate, fans can rest assured that acting is not off the table for Millie Bobby Brown. She has a few projects lined up, including the films Damsel and The Electric State. And who knows, maybe a singing career could be next, as she and Mariah Carey have developed a friendship.
