Every actor under the umbrella of Hollywood then comes under the purview of Marvel too, but while that may seem to be the case from this side of the fence, a little-known fact from Sandra Bullock herself reveals that the actor has never been approached by the CBM franchise.
“I have never been approached by Marvel. I don’t think I’m Marvel material,” Bullock insisted during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! However, there was a lucrative deal a few years ago that the actor says was neither Marvel nor DC but still managed to catch her eye. The Bird Box actor reveals she turned the role down, taking into consideration her son’s advice. Now, after all these years, the murmurs about Sandra Bullock being associated with MCU’s Spider-Man finally find an answer.

To not consider Sandra Bullock an A-lister since her Academy Award-winning role in The Blind Side will be a mistake. The actor has been a domineering presence in Hollywood since the 90s and nothing has been able to slow down her momentum ever since. Not only did she star in a multitude of blockbuster films but numerous career-tanking projects from which she bounced back with little to no effort. Bullock’s appearance in Speed and its subpar sequel, Cruise Control, are prime examples of that.
Despite the box office blunder of 1997, Sandra Bullock was still the first choice and primary favorite of Warner Bros. for their Wonder Woman. The rumors at the turn of the century were not only overflowing with reports indicating the same, but Variety commented on the extent to which producer Joel Silver was involved with the process of “wooing” the star. Bullock blows off these claims as well saying, “There [are] other people much better suited to play Wonder Woman.”
