Hollywood actress Kaley Cuoco is best known for playing Penny in The Big Bang Theory. She made a significant name for herself in the field and won numerous honors and commendations for her outstanding work in the sitcom. Kaley Cuoco Was Distressed Over the Cancellation of TBBT
Even before she reached her teen years, Kaley Cuoco was involved in the industry. As a result, she received her first acting part very early compared to many other actors and actresses. She portrayed a young Karin Carter in the mid-’90s action/sci-fi film Virtuosity. Although the movie was not a global success, it was a start for the young actress.
Cuoco spent the rest of her adolescent years playing both small and major roles in films and TV shows by the time she was acknowledged in the industry. One of the nicest things that have ever happened to her was being cast in The Big Bang Theory, and the program has flourished as a result of her exceptional acting ability.
During an interview with Variety, Kaley Cuoco shared that she was completely stunned when the co-creator of the show revealed that the show would be canceled and no further seasons will be shot.
“Jim said, ‘I don’t think I can continue on.’ And I was so shocked that I was literally like, ‘Continue on with what?’ Like, I didn’t even know what he was talking about. I looked at Chuck: ‘Wow. I thought we were — I’m so blown away right now.’ That was the one thing we all agreed on — we came in together, we go out together.”
The actress also said that she was very sure that the meeting would be about the thirteenth season, but never in her wildest dreams had she thought that the show would be dropped. Nevertheless, the cast of the show made a pact that they would rock the world together and leave together, which they did.
At some point, fans, followers, and even Kaley Cuoco felt that Jim Parson was the reason the show got canceled. It may or may not be true, but Parson’s on-screen lover actor Mayim Bialik shared that that was not the reason the show got dropped. Their difference in opinions created a sort of rift between them but Bialik cleared up the situation when she backed Parson claiming that there were multiple reasons for the cancellation. There was more to it than meets the eye.
The Big Bang Theory Was Exceptionally Successful
The Big Bang Theory had twelve seasons and was hailed by many viewers as one of the best TV shows of this generation. The program rose to prominence as one of the highest-rated comedies, but it ran a bit too long. Nevertheless, during its course, TBBT received countless nominations and awards. Among them are the Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice Awards, Primetime Emmy Awards, and numerous others.
Due to Kaley Cuoco’s outstanding performances in a variety of films and television shows, she has also received numerous awards and accolades. Among them are the Walk of Fame, the Satellite Awards, and the Critics’ Choice Television Awards. Currently, the actress has starred in a comedy-thriller type TV show, Based on a True Story. The show has fairly good ratings and a second season has been in the talks recently.
