Actor Daniel Radcliffe has been in the film industry since a very young age. Starring in one of the most popular franchises, he has made a name for himself, not only as Harry Potter but also as an actor outside the fantasy adventure film series. However, being in the industry for so long and having the fame and success from his very first role, has led to many misconceptions about the Hollywood star.
And something similar happened with his The Lost City co-star Sandra Bullock. The Harry Potter star shared during an interview that Bullock, who assumed him to be a “narcissistic, entitled child actor” asked for his autograph when she first met him.
Sandra Bullock Asked For Daniel Radcliffe’s Autograph
Daniel Radcliffe worked with the Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock in the 2022 action-adventure film The Lost City. The co-stars speak highly of each other and are known to have a good relationship. However, Bullock has shared that she assumed her co-star would be a “narcissistic, entitled child actor.”
And she soon found out that the Guns Akimbo star was not even close to that. And despite her assumption about the actor, she asked for his autograph when they first met. And Radcliffe was very impressed, as Bullock did not ask for the autograph for herself.
“She asked for my autograph for her sister, not for her, but her sister is a big fan of me and Patrick Stewart. She has our autographs,” he shared. The Speed actress later revealed that she wanted the autograph for her sister as her birthday gift, who is a big Harry Potter fan.
Radcliffe also shared that he was surprised to see how nice she was while working with him. “She has a truly insane career, and she’s really nice. Don’t be nice as well. I don’t know how to react,” he said. He also talked about his character in the 2022 movie and why he enjoyed playing it so much.
Daniel Radcliffe Enjoyed Playing a Villain
Daniel Radcliffe portrayed Abigail Fairfax in the 2022 movie, who seeks to find the Lost City with the help of the romance novelist Loretta Sage, portrayed by Sandra Bullock. Talking about his character in the movie, he shared that he enjoyed playing a villain in The Lost City.
“It’s very fun playing a villain and not having to be the emotional center for the audience,” the Victor Frankenstein actor said. He further shared that he is grateful to have the opportunity to play a range of characters on screen and that playing Abigail Fairfax “was a real treat.”
It was assumed that Radcliffe would have a hard time getting rid of his Harry Potter image after the franchise. However, he overcame the image with his incredible performances in Broadway shows like Equus and by starring in movies like The Woman in Black, Kill Your Darlings, and Swiss Army Man.
