Game of Thrones is perhaps one of the most iconic television shows of all time. Having some of the most talented actors in Hollywood, like Emilia Clarke, Pedro Pascal, Richard Madden, and Peter Dinklage, the series features an incredible, eight-season storyline, based on a book series of the same name.
Despite quite a controversial and disliked ending for the series, the show had enough of a following that it could continue to tell the story of this unique kingdom and continue its world-building through its spin-off, prequel series, House of Dragon. While this show also became very well-liked very quickly, this seems to have not been the end of its spin-off shows, as HBO announced a much-anticipated series.
HBO Announces New Spin-Off Series Of Game Of Thrones
HBO, the network behind the massively successful series that is Game of Thrones, recently announced that the series would be getting another spin-off show, this one’s working title being Snow. The news was announced by George R. R. Martin, the author of the book series, who published the news on his blog.
“Yes, there is a Jon Snow show in development,” Thrones author George R. R. Martin wrote on his blog after the news came out. “Our working title for the show is SNOW.”
This series will follow the character of Jon Snow after the events of the final season of Game of Thrones, with Kit Harington reprising the role of the character. It is expected to pick up right after the events of the show, so it can be expected that past characters from the series could make cameos in the show.
Games of Thrones Actor Wants To Be Part Of Series Spin-Off Snow
Liam Cunningham, who played the character of Davos Seaworth, has recently expressed his wishes to join Kit Harington on the Game of Thrones spin-off series, Snow. The actor, whose character has been credited to being one of the only saving graces of the last season of the show, revealed that he texted Harington when he heard the news of the sequel series, asking him if his character would be a good fit for the series.
“I did send [Kit] a text saying, ‘Better Call Davos” he said.
Cunningham isn’t the only one who has expressed his wish to join the series as Maisie Williams, who played Harington’s youngest sister, Arya Stark, has revealed that she will not rule out the possibility of making an appearance in the series. Gwendoline Christie, who played Brienne of Tarth, has also added that she would love to revisit her character again. Emilia Clarke, however, has stated that she has told the entire story of her character and would not like to reprise her role as Daenerys Targaryen.
