The A-listers have to get in different kinds of outfits from time to time depending on the role that they are playing in the movie and sometimes these outfits kind of hinder even their normal movement and that can be quite frustrating. Sandra Bullock also faced a similar situation when she was made to wear a jumpsuit for her portrayal of Loretta Sage in the 2022 action comedy movie, The Lost City.
Sandra Bullock once opened up about the situation last year in an interview with Fandango and revealed that she had trouble using the restroom as she wearing a jumpsuit in the movie.
Sandra Bullock had trouble using the restroom while filming for The Lost City
The lead cast of the movie, The Lost City, Daniel Radcliffe, Sandra Bullock, and Channing Tatum appeared for an interview with Fandango last year where they answered a bunch of questions related to the movie. One of these questions said, “What is the hardest part about shooting in a jungle?” Daniel Radcliffe went on to pass the question to his co-stars laughing and said, “I have to ask because I didn’t do any of this.”
Sandra Bullock opened up about her master plan to avoid using the restroom altogether on the set of The Lost City as her character Loretta Sage was wearing a jumpsuit in the jungle. She said,
“The challenge was I was in a jumpsuit so I couldn’t use the restroom so I just chose not to drink liquids which paid off beautifully.”
Channing Tatum was impressed with the Bird Box actress filming in the jungle while wearing heels
Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock’s characters were trying to escape an island by navigating a jungle in The Lost City and therefore the actress had to actually film while hearing heels and navigating through the landscapes in the Dominican Republic. Channing Tatum was very impressed with Bullock’s ability to navigate the landscape while hearing heels and even talked about it in the interview. He said,
“I gotta be honest, watching Sandra run in the jungle with high heels on and a jumpsuit. I gotta say it was nothing short of like an Olympic-like event. I still don’t know how you did it. I was just in normal shoes and I was falling down and somehow you figured it out.”
Sandra Bullock further revealed that she was just praying not to fall down while doing her scenes and she used to just fall down after the wrap for the day as her ankles used to hurt after filming in high heels.
The Lost City was a massive critical and commercial success as it went on to gross almost $192 million against a production budget of $74 million at the box office. The movie also largely received positive reviews from fans and critics.
The Lost City is currently streaming on Paramount+.
