Fans Aren’t Ready To Believe That Kevin Spacey Is Innocent
As the conclusive verdict was pronounced, Kevin Spacey couldn’t hold back his tears. In the glass dock at Southwark Crown Court, where he had been battling his case for four and a half weeks, a court usher approached him and kindly offered a tissue, which he gratefully accepted. However, fans aren’t convinced by the court’s decision.
Fans pointed out instances where people like Kevin Spacey, face true accountability for their predatory actions are disappointingly scarce. However, they steadfastly support Anthony Rapp and all of Spacey’s other accusers, firmly believing in their courage to speak out. Fans are also disappointed with the jurors, who seemed more enamored with celebrity than committed to pursuing justice.
Expressing frustration and concern, a user conveyed that it’s incredibly challenging to prove because testimony is often viewed as unreliable, and the nature of the crime deliberately takes place in secrecy.
The Jurors Of The Case Were Star Struck
Following the trial’s conclusion, five jurors made an unusual decision to wait outside the courthouse, hoping to meet the actor in person. After some discussions with his manager, the four men and one woman accompanied Spacey back into the courthouse. Sources reveal that Spacey expressed his gratitude to them and even made a brief bow, crossing his arms across his chest during the interaction.
Throughout the trial, the jury received testimonies from the four men who had filed complaints against the actor. One of the individuals, who had significant interactions with Spacey during his tenure as creative director of the Old Vic theater in the early 2000s, recounted incidents where Spacey allegedly touched him inappropriately on multiple occasions, including one instance on a motorway.
The second accusation centered on a charity event in 2005, where a man alleged that Spacey made several s*xually aggressive remarks before cornering him against a wall and groping his crotch. Spacey refuted ever encountering the man at the said event.
The third and most severe complaint carried the possibility of a life sentence. The accuser asserted that in 2008, he had found himself at Spacey’s London apartment, where he either fell asleep or lost consciousness, only to awaken to Spacey engaging in non-consensual oral s*x with him.
The jury deliberated and ultimately dismissed all the charges related to the men’s testimonies.
