Henry Cavill on Superman’s suit in Black Adam
Black Adam which brought Superman back on screen and Henry Cavill’s pilot Superman movie, Man of Steel, have a strange similarity. Both the movies opened up to significantly low critic scores but took no time to be fan favorites. The moment Superman enters the screen in the mid-credit scene of Black Adam, the theater roared. A similar reaction was also posted by Dwayne Johnson himself on his Twitter where he termed it “Audience Eruption”.

Recently as the Immortals actor spoke in the Happy Sad Confused podcast with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, the actor revealed why he chose that particular suit for his cameo. For Cavill, it was one of the most honoring moments in his career.
“It was a very powerful moment for me. I wasn’t too sure how I was going to feel, whether I was going to be, ‘Okay cool, back in the suit,’ or whether it was going to be something which was very emotionally connective, because I put the Man of Steel suit back on.”
He added that he chose the original Man of Steel suit for his comeback because of the nostalgia value added to it.
“And I chose that one in particular because of the nostalgia attached to the suit, and it was incredibly important for me to just be standing there and enjoying that moment. And, yeah, that is one of the top moments in my career, it feels great to have the opportunity to wear it again.”
Henry Cavill in Superman was an instant fan favorite. As soon as the audience spotted him, they never had to think twice about any other individual anchoring the role. Now as the Mission: Impossible – Fallout actor has returned, he has officially confirmed that it is a long-term deal.
Henry Cavill’s future at the DCU looks bright
Soon after Henry Cavill returned to his iconic role of the Kryptonian, DC went through a number of changes. Under the new WBD leadership of David Zaslav, the DC Cinematic Universe will now be called DCU which will be run by James Gunn and Peter Safran.
On the other hand, a Man of Steel sequel with Cavill is also under development with rumors of an antagonist like Brainiac set to battle against Superman in the upcoming movie. By the words of the 39-year-old actor, it is assumed that this long-term plan with DCU has a lot of things for him. Some rumors even claim that the new heads might show intention to bring Zack Snyder back to Man of Steel 2. But that should be taken with a grain of salt as there are no confirmed sources yet.
