Scarlett Johansson finally got her solo movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after years of working alongside her co-stars. The entire franchise had fans and celebrities all wanting to see the story of Natasha Romanoff. When the entire world wanted to know about Black Widow’s past, her husband was no different. The fans are all reliant on their own enthusiasm when it comes to the franchise.
Spoilers, how the story plays out, and what happens next, all these factors are integral to the audience and have taught them the game of patience. The amount of persistence the fans have shown also includes none other than Colin Jost, host of Saturday Night Live and husband of Scarlett Johansson. However, his dedication might have not been the best for the actress.
Colin Jost Was Unhelpful During Scarlett Johansson’s Shoot
Scarlett Johansson revealed that she had found herself in an ideal situation when both she and her husband, Colin Jost had to film in London on separate projects. Both of them were able to spend ample amount of time with each other and the actress acknowledged that this was a rare occasion.
“He doesn’t like any spoilers, though, so I can’t tell him anything. And he doesn’t even pry. When we were shooting this film in London, Colin was also there shooting Tom & Jerry — which worked out great ’cause we were together in the same city for a long time, which is rare.”
Jost, much like every other MCU fan, cowers in the name of spoilers. Learning about a story or facts that one is yet to prepare themselves for is a terrible experience and the comedian is also one of them. So when the actress asked for his help, he very clearly denied it. He would not help her rehearse any lines because he simply did not want to know about any information beforehand.
Colin Jost Denied To Hear Anything About Scarlett Johansson Filming
Colin Jost was very adamant about not knowing anything about Black Widow. No matter how important or interesting the scene was, he would refuse to be of assistance. Whether it was to help her with practicing some lines or just learning about what was going on, he was sure he would help.
“I was in the middle of a big action set piece or sequence or whatever… he was just not wanting to hear anything about it.”
As a dedicated fan of the franchise, Jost knew not to touch waters he could not go back from. To still keep the sense of excitement, he chose to stay away from every piece of information even if it presented itself before him.
