While Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie previously shot a few raunchy scenes, in their movies, things changed after they became parents. Trying to focus on a better upbringing for their kids, the former couple vowed to follow several rules. However, there’s one rule that Pitt followed religiously before he was accused of abuse by Jolie.
Despite being one of the most famous actors in Hollywood, Brad Pitt vowed to refrain from appearing in explicit scenes. In order to protect his children from witnessing his nakedness, and feel embarrassed, Pitt quit n*dity to keep his children’s honor intact.
Brad Pitt Promised To Refrain From N*de Scenes
While Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt rarely had any issues with disrobing for a film, their priorities changed after becoming parents. Trying to provide their children with the best upbringing, Jolie and Pitt promised to follow certain rules. Among them, the 59-year-old actor religiously maintained his promise of refraining from appearing in n*de scenes.
While the World War Z actor previously performed a few raunchy scenes in his career, he promised to stay away from n*dity to protect his children’s honor, after becoming a father. Being adamant about not participating in steamy scenes, the actor discussed his reason in an interview. “I don’t want to be embarrassed when my kids get old enough to see my films” Pitt shared.
“I can’t see any more n*de scenes [in my career.]” Brad Pitt stated.
Despite previously appearing in raunchy scenes in Troy, and sharing intimate scenes with Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Brad Pitt promised to maintain his vow for the sake of his children. Unwilling to make his kids embarrassed, Pitt decided to honor their dignity by dropping n*de scenes from his movies.
Brad Pitt Wished To Protect His Children’s Dignity
Emphasizing how steamy scenes are mainly for young actors, Brad Pitt confirmed how he wishes to be a role model for his children. “I think it’s a younger person’s game.” Pitt shared during an interview. Thus, refraining from explicit scenes, Pitt, who was once a s*x symbol simply gave up disrobing himself for the sake of his children.
Discussing his way of parenting, Brad Pitt reflected on how his work can influence his children. Thus, willing to be an ideal father, the actor mentioned changing his work choices after embracing parenthood. Raising six children with Angelina Jolie, Pitt reflected upon his movie, The Tree of Life, and mentioned “I was a little hesitant about playing the oppressive father,”
“I think about everything I do now, ‘My kids are going to see it when they grow up and how are they going to feel?” Brad Pitt shared.
Often considering his family before taking any step, Brad Pitt mentioned his relationship with his children. Stating how there’s no anonymity in their household, Pitt discussed how well his children know him. “But they know me as a dad…And I hope they’ll just think I’m a pretty damn good actor.” Pitt shared. Thus, ultimately considering himself a parent before anything else, the Ad Astra actor decided to stop doing n*de scenes and focus on proper works of art.
