What do we know about GTA 6 so far?

To put it bluntly, we don’t know anything, at least officially. What we do know comes from rumors, leaks and speculation, but some sound more credible than others. For instance, the budget of GTA 6 is rumored to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $1 billion, if not more. This could be spent on anything from marketing to in game content.

Apart from that, GTA 6 will allegedly introduce an aging mechanic, where the playable character or characters will age over the course of the game. Additionally, there might be a system for hair and facial hair growth, taken straight out of Rockstar’s own Red Dead Redemption 2.

What do some fans have to say about the rumored GTA 6 announcement?

As mentioned earlier, many fans have taken the latest GTA 6 announcement rumor with a grain of salt. They aren’t exactly holding their breath since this isn’t the first time such announcements have been promised without coming true. In fact, this is almost a regular occurrence in many ways, with unsubstantiated claims of an incoming announcement date being reported only to disappoint.

Some fans have even pointed to Rockstar’s recent release history as a reason to not be hyped for GTA 6. Presumably, this refers to the poorly received Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, as well as the recent port of the first Red Dead Redemption to the PS4 and Nintendo Switch without any improvements whatsoever.
