“It’s harder for people to watch (those scenes) than for me to make them, because I understood what I was doing and I felt very protected and safe,” Armas told Entertainment Weekly. “I didn’t feel exploited because I was in control. I made that decision. I knew the movie I was doing. I trusted my director. I felt like I was in a safe environment.”
During the filming of the n*de scenes for Blonde, Ana De Armas stated that there were numerous discussions about those specific scenes. She emphasized that the entire team held a profound respect for the film they were creating, which helped her feel safe and at ease. Despite the challenging nature of the scenes, she expressed no discomfort during the process.

Ana De Armas Felt Safe While Filming Intimate Scenes
Ana De Armas expressed her appreciation for the presence of intimacy coordinators on the film set, emphasizing that their guidance made shooting sexual scenes feel no different from other parts of the movie. She credited the coordinator’s support, stating that their presence was instrumental in ensuring a comfortable and professional environment during those scenes.
“But I wouldn’t even say these scenes were more difficult than any other scene. It was just a part of a whole story. I knew exactly what the shot was going to be,” she said. “I knew exactly what was going to be seen, what was not going to be seen, and it felt like it was the right thing to do.”
Ana De Armas also voiced her concerns about the possibility of intimate scenes from the film being leaked online and potentially misinterpreted when taken out of context.
“I know what’s going to go viral, and it’s disgusting. It’s upsetting just to think about it. I can’t control it; you can’t really control what they do and how they take things out of context.”
