Jim Carrey has been part of some of the biggest movies and played some of the most iconic roles as well. There have been many movies he has played a villain, a hero, a comedian, a lover, and anything that could bring a smile to the audience’s face. However, one particular movie which he had already geared up for had him wondering whether or not it would be a good idea to do the film or not.
No matter how extravagant the movie may have been, he was sure that nothing could make him like doing the film no matter what. It was something that would not have sat well with his consciousness no matter what. So he was determined not to support what the film shared.
Jim Carrey Hated Being A Part Of The Kick-Ass Sequel
Jim Carrey was sure of one thing after he filmed Kick-Ass 2, he hated being a part of the sequel. The reason was not because of bad reviews or the movie doing poorly. In fact, the movie became a cult classic everyone enjoyed watching.
“I did Kick-Ass a month before Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence.”
Sandy Hook Elementary School had unfortunately been a victim of a school shooting with 28 people dead and two injured. The movie had a lot of violence and had been shot only a few months before the shooting took place. Out of good consciousness and utter shock at the events that had taken place, Carrey had taken to social media to confirm that nothing could make him like the movie afterward. He regretted being a part of something that encouraged violence and was sure that if there were going to be more installments of the franchise, he would not be coming back.
Jessica Alba Did Not Want To Do Fantastic Four
Jessica Alba also has her hands on some of the most iconic characters and one of them happens to be none other than the Fantastic Four’s Sue Storm. Although many actors get a massive boost in their careers while filming superhero movies, few of them have the most worrisome and painful experiences.
“I remember when I was dying in Silver Surfer. The director was like, ‘It looks too real. It looks too painful. Can you be prettier when you cry? Cry pretty, Jessica.’”
Alba happened to be one of them. Her experience had been so horrible that she was unsure about continuing her career as an actress altogether. She was asked to be prettier while acting rather than being as natural as possible and that was not something that sit well with her.
