During an interview, Stranger Things star, Millie Bobby Brown, revealed that she underwent a terrible experience at the age of 10 that left her shattered, The Godzilla: King of the Monsters actor narrated how she felt lonely after a famous casting director told her she was too mature to star in roles.

“I always knew that I was mature and I couldn’t really help that. Going back to what I said earlier about being kind of very lonely in who I was and feeling like no one was quite like me in school and no one was as mature as I was, [hearing that] was really hard because I thought [maturity] was a good thing.”

It was so hurtful. I got really down about that. My parents told me, ‘Just do this one last audition on tape and then you can go outside and play with your friends again.'”

After Bobby Brown was pushed by her parents, the actress decided to give a hit at another audition, and that’s when she landed Eleven’s role in the $287 million Stranger Things series.

Millie Bobby Brown, who remained a regular on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, revealed to the host that “the industry is full of rejection 24/7.” The young actress revealed that she was auditioning for commercials, “anything really.”

The two-time Prime Time Emmy Awards nominee revealed that she even auditioned for Game of Thrones, but got a big no for the series. This was when the actress gave up hope, and expressed, “That’s kind of when I was like, ‘Oh, this is really difficult.'”

But then, the actress gained a mega-star status with Stranger Things series. She once revealed that “online bullying and vitriol” as a result of her mega fame has made it hard for her to figure out who she exactly is. Today, the actress has amassed a net worth of over $14 million from her flourishing career as an actor, producer, and entrepreneur. 

The Stranger Things series is streaming on Netflix.
