When you’re Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, you’ve got a lot of proving to do to the world. While the legendary actor’s five children have chosen different career paths, in fields like acting, modeling, writing, and real estate, his youngest son, Joseph Baena, who prefers not to use his father’s last name, is certainly following his father’s footsteps, inhering an almost similar addiction for bodybuilding.
Even though Baena has got his father’s perfect genetics, the boy still has a long way to get the physique of one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. But again, the seven-time Olympia winner’s youngest son is surely turning heads with his insane workout regime, and fans are convinced that Master Arnold could be the next Terminator.
Joseph Baena Deserves To Be The Next Terminator
In a recent Instagram video, Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s youngest son, Joseph Baena, the love child of the 75-year-old actor, and his housekeeper, Mildred Baena, shared an intense squat workout session, and fans are convinced that they’ve got a new T-800.
Baena captioned the video, “Squats felt decent, so had to get the clinking and clankin for da bois!!!” While flaunting his nearly-perfect physique in a selfie along with a small clip of squats, Baena was seen lifting a heavyweight barbell along with intense squats. As the barbells clinked and clanked, the 25-year-old model gave his fans some real” like father, like son” vibes.
Since his videos, netizens have flooded social media with praises for The Terminator actor’s son, daring to suggest that the boy is ready to be the next T-800. While most fans couldn’t stop praising his muscular legs, one person wrote, “Hurry Up we need a new T800,” and James Cameron, the man behind the $3 billion franchise, should notice.
In 2016, Joseph Baena did feature a re-done bar scene from Terminator 2, in Ben Hess’ short clip, Terminator 2 Remake with Joseph Baena: Bad to the Bone, attempting to recreate his dad’s iconic role. But then, the chap ended up garnering a lot of fan hate. That was in 2016, and Baena is more than ready now.
Baena’s rigorous training plan includes a lot of sets and plenty of isolation moves. The young bodybuilder continues to ensure 20 minutes of “fasted cardio” in the morning. Baena says, “One of the big things I learned from Dad was not to have the ten-rep mentality.” It means you gotta push yourself to the limits, and go the extra mile.
Joseph Baena Is Keeping Up With Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Legacy
When one speaks of Arnold Schwarzenegger, it is fair to state that there is only one Conan the Barbarian, and there will always be one! While this remains true for the seven-time Olympia champion, the Predator actor’s youngest son, Joseph Baena, has put on a game face, carrying forward his father’s legacy.
Joseph Baena, who is credited for inhering the best of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s genes, often receives praise from some of the biggest stars from the bodybuilding world, courtesy of his dedication to fitness. The Austrian Oak’s son is known for his intense workout regime, spending hours shaping a perfect physique.
But the real reason behind choosing his father’s footsteps is rather heartbreaking. In a previous podcast, Baena revealed physical fitness became his watchword because he was both unfit and bullied in college. Being the chubby kid, left him unfit for soccer and basketball. But, the son got the never-give-up spirit from his daddy and chose to join the swimming team.
Baena discovered his biological father almost a decade ago. Baena has been vocal about the fact that he doesn’t want to say in his father’s shadow, but at the same time, takes a lot of pride in it. Proud of his Latino heritage, Baena hopes people will respect him for his achievements, looking past his childhood.
Joseph Baena is a real estate agent and has also already appeared on the cover of the Men’s Health March 2022 issue, while his father’s gift from his treasure box, The Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding coauthored by Schwarzenegger, helped him get on the right track.
The Terminator film series can be rented or purchased on Google Play.
