Hollywood star Hugh Grant cannot believe there were such die-hard fans for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, an upcoming fantasy-adventure movie based on a video game, and stated, “I think they’re on crack or something” when the fans in San Diego Comic-Con went nuts when Grant was out.
The movie is said to be out by March 2023 by Paramount Pictures which started its production in early 2021 and will be harboring big shots such as Chris Pine, Hugh Grant, Michelle Rodriguez, Sophia Lillis, Regé -Jean Page, and Justice Smith.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
The plot follows a team or group of thieves who have to save the world and fix their mistake as they, “helped the wrong person steal the wrong thing”. Though they are a group of law-breaking individuals, they simply wouldn’t let anyone take over their world.
The team includes Elgin, a bard, who is also the brains of the group, Holga a barbarian, Doric, a tiefling druid, Xenk, a paladin and Simon, a sorcerer. Chris Pine, who plays the role of Elgin, describes the film,
“Game of Thrones mixed with a little Princess Bride [and] just a smidge of Holy Grail” and said it’s “poppy, it’s eighties heartfelt, [and] there’s a bit of Goonies in there.”
Hugh Grant plays the role of an aristocratic but rather antagonistic rogue named Forge Fletcher. Justice Smith, from Detective Pikachu, will be playing the role of the sorcerer named Simon. Michelle Rodriguez plays the role of the barbarian, Holga. Sophia Lillis plays the role of a druid named Doric. Regé -Jean Page plays Xenk, a paladin, and Jason Wong as Dralas.
Hugh Grant’s Take on Dungeons & Dragons
At first, Grant was absolutely stunned by the fan’s response at the San Diego Comic-Con and could not believe that there would be die-hard fans of this movie even before its release. While in an interview with Collider, he commented about the script,
“I think maybe what I responded to most in their script was that it’s about losers. This little band of comrades, they’re all a bit crap. You are not great at being a bard.”
“And the magician, played by Justice [Smith], is really bad. What do they call magicians in Dungeons & Dragons?”
“Sorcerer. He’s not much good. And Michelle [Rodriguez’s] character has been thrown out of whatever. What is she?
“Barbarian. And is still in love with her husband, who is in love with someone else. And I responded to that loser-ish thing about this little band. Maybe that’s an English predilection. We love a loser.
