The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has had an excellent start in its journey to become a memorable TV show with a dedicated fanbase. The show is also generally favored among critics, with websites like Rotten Tomatoes giving it an 84% rating.
Another impressive feat that the show has achieved is in terms of the viewers it has till now. The first two episodes gained a total of 25 million viewers globally, all just under 24 hours after the two were released! This is also the biggest premiere ever for Amazon Prime Video’s platform.

HBO Max is surely taking note of the success that their rival studio, Amazon Studios, is raking in. This has prompted the popular streaming service to try and shift attention towards its Game of Thrones prequel by giving out a free-of-cost view of the pilot of House of the Dragon on YouTube.
This is truly a power move from the giant streaming service, which plans on making sure that Rings of Power doesn’t end up stealing the spotlight away from it. What’s Amazon’s reply going to be on this? Maybe they’ll give out a free episode too!
