Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the most respected and talented actors in the film industry. He has starred in some of the most critically acclaimed projects in the history of Hollywood, with Titanic, The Revenant, Inception, and Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood being some examples. He has made a name for himself as a truly dedicated and versatile actor who is willing to go above and beyond for his roles.
This is something that he has been awarded for time and time again, including being nominated for an Academy Award a number of times and winning the same in the category of Best Actor for his work in the 2015 film, The Revenant.
It is quite a common phenomenon for actors to also be massive fans of everything involving cinema. With many actors having chosen the profession after watching classic films, it is only natural that they would get upset if their co-stars have not seen some of their favorite films. This is what happened to DiCaprio with Margot Robbie on the set of The Wolf of Wall Street.
Leonardo DiCaprio Got Angry At Margot Robbie
While doing press tour, Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie, and Brad Pitt were asked which classic film would they be sad to admit that they have not seen. While answering this question, Robbie revealed that while working on their 2013 film, The Wolf of Wall Street. she would constantly infuriate and frustrate DiCaprio with the classic films that she had not seen.
“When we did Wolf of Wall Street, you would get angry at me all the time. Any time I’d mention any movie I hadn’t seen, you’d be like. ‘How have you not seen Citizen Kane? How can you work in this industry and not have seen Citizen Kane?’ and I’m like, ‘I just got here to this industry. You’ve had more time to watch this stuff.’ then I went home and I would got watch Citizen Kane and watch all the movies that he’s like you have to see this.” She said, during an interview with MTV News
Elaborating on this, the actress revealed that the Titanic actor would constantly ask her how she could work in an industry like the film industry and not have seen so many classic films. To this, Robbie would tell him that she has just started working in this industry and that DiCaprio has had much more time to watch these films. Afterward, however, the actress would go home and watch the films that the actor asked her to watch.
Margot Robbie Has Not Seen Any Star Wars Films
Margot Robbie then went on to talk about how she has never seen a single film from one of the most successful franchises of all time, Star Wars. The actress revealed that this fact about herself infuriates the people who learn it, asking her how it is possible for her to have gone so long without having watched even a single film from the classic franchise.
“I’ve never seen any Star Wars and I kind of don’t watch it now just because it infuriates people so much like, ‘How have you never watched any Star Wars?’ and I just kind of wanna see how long I can make it now.” she went on to tell MTV News
She then went on to say that rather than watching the franchise to avoid reactions like this, she, now, purposefully does not watch films from the series. Her reasoning for this is the fact that she has started to enjoy these reactions and wants to see how long she can keep this going.
