The 20th century saw a huge increase in how much martial arts was included in Hollywood, and it was all thanks to one man, Bruce Lee.
Bruce Lee was a Hong Kong-American martial artist, actor, director, martial arts instructor, philosopher, and founder of Jeet Kune Do. He is considered the most influential martial artist of all time and a pop culture icon of the 20th century, who bought the Chinese culture over to the west all on his own.
Legacy Of Bruce Lee
Bruce Lee was an important figure back in the 70s, his introduction of martial arts to Hollywood is considered to be nothing less of a blessing in disguise. Unfortunately, he died at the young age of 32 on July 20, 1971, just six days before the release of what would be his final film, Enter The Dragon.

However, in an attempt to preserve his legacy, Lee’s daughter Shannon Lee founded Bruce Lee Entertainment (BLE) in 2000. BLE has taken a few initiatives to restore and promote Lee’s legacy, some of these include the publishing of books, comics and other material about Bruce Lee as well as an opening of the Bruce Lee Museum in Seattle, Washington.
Another form of medium BLE has often chosen to promote Lee’s legacy is through films and documentaries, as well as video games. Many fans wished to see their favourite martial artist in animated form too, and it looks like this wish might have just come true after this recent announcement from Shibuya Production.
