While the Hollywood talent he works with doesn’t include Keanu Reeves, recent pictures posted by Kojima on his official Instagram have sparked theories that the two might be working together on a new game. Reeves himself is a big name, popular for the critically and commercially successful John Wick series in which he plays the titular character.

Norman Reedus, who starred in Hideo Kojima’s last game Death Stranding and will also star in its upcoming sequel, was the other actor photographed by Kojima. This post on Instagram has led many fans to believe that the John Wick actor will join the cast of Death Stranding 2.

However, it could have all just been a social call, as Keanu Reeves once paid a visit to Hideo Kojima back in 2019 which led to similar speculation. It’s also worth noting that both Norman Reedus and Keanu Reeves share a love for motorcycles. The former has hosted a show on bikes on AMC and the latter is a co-founder of Arch Motorcycle, so the picture could just be them talking about bikes.
Nevertheless, fans will be hoping for Keanu Reeves to be a part of Death Standing 2, for which Hideo Kojima is the director. Having played Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077, Reeves is clearly open to acting in video games. We might find out more at The Game Awards in December, as Hideo Kojima is friends with its organizer and announced Death Stranding 2 at last year’s ceremony.
