The first time (and the last) that Hollywood’s mainstream theatregoing audience witnessed the artistic ingenuity of Tim Blake Nelson was in the MCU origin film, The Incredible Hulk, in 2008. However, even the Edward Norton film couldn’t find itself on a distinguished enough platform to go on treading the expansive landscape of the Marvel universe. As such, the supporting character who made a limited yet impactful appearance in the Hulk movie was reduced again to the background. Until now.

Tim Blake Nelson Takes the Hollywood Scene By Storm
It seems that the Tim Blake Nelson-resurgence era has begun and it is going to be a wildly indiscrete phenomenon among the Marvel fandom and elsewhere. The actor has just been reported to be a part of Denis Villeneuve’s epic fantasy sequel film, Dune: Part Two, as per the latest exclusive news from The Hollywood Reporter. Why a casting as huge as this was kept under wraps is yet to be made sense of, but fans of Nelson should now be aware that the actor has finally broken free of his gatekept status and is now headed for a place where only the industry’s latest obsessions dwell.
This is not the only project, however, that is set to witness the epic comeback of the actor into mainstream cinema, notwithstanding the Western drama, Old Henry. Nelson is set to reprise his infamous role as the brilliant scientist, Samuel Sterns, who appeared originally in The Incredible Hulk. His character will expand to the role of “Leader” in the upcoming film, Captain America: New World Order in 2024 and will witness him playing the primary antagonist against such characters as Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson/Captain America, Danny Ramirez’s Falcon, and Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier.
Tim Blake Nelson Enters the High Fantasy World of Dune
The Dune sequel not only stands witness to the forthcoming love affair between Nelson and the rest of Hollywood but also introduces an ensemble cast to its already heavy-hitting roster. Alongside Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya now enters Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Léa Seydoux, and Christopher Walken. Tim Blake Nelson’s role in the film has not yet been disclosed and Villeneuve’s sequel has just wrapped up filming in mid-December, 2022.
The film is set to follow the events in the immediate aftermath of Dune and will witness Chalamet’s Paul Atreides fighting alongside the desert people, Fremen, to liberate Arrakis from the oppressive reign of House Harkonnen. Florence Pugh steps into the fray as Princess Irulan, the love interest of Chalamet’s boy-king Paul Atreides. Walken will portray the emperor of House Corrino, Shaddam IV, and Léa Seydoux’s Lady Margot is placed beside him as a close friend and confidante. And Stellan Skarsgård assumes the villainous role of the emperor, Baron Harkonnen, with Austin Butler’s Feyd-Rautha posing as his nephew.
Dune: Part Two is set to premiere theatrically on November 3, 2023.
