Since Spider-Man was originally introduced in the comics, female character versions have been the subject of fan speculation. A female version of the character has appeared in numerous parallel realities. The Marvel canon has never seen this. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, however, the multiverse is introduced, and suddenly anything is feasible.

While speaking about the future of Spider-Man with Extra, the actress affirmed that she was not interested in playing the role of a female Spider-Man. Zendaya looks at Holland, saying she will “leave the Spiderman” role to him.

“No, I’m going to leave the Spiderman [role] into you, my friend. I’m sure we’d love to see, we always talk about wanting to see Miles.

Zendaya has stated that she has no interest in making history as the first female Spider-Man in the MCU, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Now that the universe is canon, anything might happen in the series.

Zendaya’s Future in the Spider-Man Franchise

Spider-Woman and Spider-Gwen, two female Spider-Man incarnations from the comics, are possibilities for future MCU appearances. That being said, Marvel fans, who have been living under a rock, will be happy to know that a multiversal variant Spider-Gwen has taken the role of Marvel’s de facto Gwen Stacy.

Spider-Gwen will be seen in the upcoming Sony production animation Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Furthermore, as confirmed by Marvel Studios boss, Spider-Man 4 is officially developing at Sony and Marvel. Perhaps fans may see a live-action Spider-Woman or Spider-Gwen in the movie.
