James Gunn has many friends in the entertainment industry, but without a doubt, one of his most special friends is actor Chris Pratt. The two have worked together in the past and have publicly supported each other during their controversies.
In the past, Pratt received backlash for being associated with Zoe Church, which reportedly has anti-LGBTQ views. During the controversy, Gunn showed constant support. Recently, a video of Pratt claiming that he would love to kiss actor Ryan Reynolds has resurfaced on social media.
Chris Pratt Wants to Kiss Ryan Reynolds
In May, Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana appeared to play a game of IGV Presents’ Who’s Most Likely. The stars were asked several questions and at one point, Saldana was asked who was the best kisser among the actors, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Pratt, and Bradley Cooper. As Saldana seemed a little uncomfortable, Pratt interrupted to say that he would kiss all three of them,
“I’d kiss all three of them. They’re all handsome,” adding, “Ryan Reynolds. You get a sense that his lips are… Magic!”
It seems like not only fans, but celebrities are also huge fans of Ryan Reynolds’ charismatic personality. Fans often wish to see the two stars working together because of their humorous personalities.
Chris Pratt was Criticized for Associating with an anti-LGBTQ Church
In 2019, Pratt joined Zoe Church, 5 years after claiming that he doesn’t identify with any religious denomination. At the time, Elliot Page pointed out that Zoe Church is well-known for being anti-LGBTQ,
“If you are a famous actor and you belong to an organization that hates a certain group of people, don’t be surprised if someone simply wonders why it’s not addressed.”
At the time, Pratt instantly responded to the statement by saying that the church “opens their doors to absolutely everyone,” however, fans were not buying it.

At the time, people demanded the removal of Pratt from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, however, Gunn came to his rescue as he tweeted,
“For what? Because of your made-up, utterly-false beliefs about him? For something that someone else told you about him that’s not true?” In another tweet, the director said, “Chris Pratt would never be replaced as Star-Lord but, if he ever was, we would all be going with him.”
2023’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was James Gunn’s final Marvel movie, but this opportunity was almost taken away from him. In 2018, Gunn was fired after his old tweets surfaced on social media, however, Pratt stood by his side and supported him. Finally, Gunn got back on the project.
