It can’t be denied that Brad Pitt always enjoyed some more fame than most of his co-stars but looks like he doesn’t like it fully. The actor revealed to Matt Damon that he loves the Air actor’s lifestyle more than his own due to the lack of much attention.
Why does Brad Pitt envy Matt Damon’s life?
Besides his much-celebrated career, Brad Pitt was also subjected to wide attention by the media due to his personal life. A series of high-class relationships always ensured his presence in the media and public. According to Matt Damon, this other side of celebrity status is what troubles the Bullet Train actor.
“If you can control the celebrity side of celebrity, then it’s worth it. I look at Brad – and I have for years – and when I’m with him I see the intensity of that other side of it. And the paparazzi and the insane level of aggression they have and their willingness to break the law and invade his space — well, I wonder about that trade.”
In the same interview with Esquire, Damon added that Pitt envied his lifestyle when he got to know that The Martian star could do most of the things freely that he couldn’t.
“I remember telling him that I walk my kids to school, and his face just fell. He was very kind, but he was like, ‘You b-stard.’ Because he should be able to do that, too. And he can’t.”
It can be felt that the Inglorious Bastards star always had to face a lot of cameras on going out of the house which prevented him from doing anything even the simplest of his free will. His relationships with names like Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie also elevated his name to more attention, unlike Matt Damon.
Brad Pitt’s personal life is more complicated than Matt Damon’s
One of the major drawbacks in Brad Pitt’s life is his personal life which is not at all similar to that of Matt Damon’s. The Good Will Hunting star enjoys quite a normal married life, unlike the other stars whose lives are embroiled in controversies and scandals. He married his Argentine wife Luciana Barroso in 2003 and also shares four daughters.

But on the contrary, Pitt had a stormy married life after getting a lot of media attention following the divorces of Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie. The Bullet Train star enjoyed a married life with the FRIENDS actress Jennifer Aniston from 2000 to 2005. After the separation, Pitt once again hit the headlines after his relationship with Angelina Jolie which also ended with their separation in 2019.
“I got lucky. I fell in love with a civilian. Not an actress and not a famous actress at that. Because then the attention doesn’t double – it grows exponentially.”
Matt Damon also added that he doesn’t possess a spicy story to feed the hungry paparazzi which helps him to enjoy more quality time in comparison to his other co-stars.
