But the duo shares an embarrassing moment that is still remembered by fans in quite a quirky way. It is all because the former explained it quite well to the audience which made the incident extra interesting!
While the former has shown breathtaking performances by perfectly executing different genre roles, Craig’s James Bond role is his biggest identity that gave him international recognition. Given their success status, the actress opened up about a humiliating incident that started with Craig’s not so expected actions!
Daniel Craig’s First Encounter With Anne Hathaway!
Anne Hathaway in an appearance on The Graham Norton Show opened up about her first encounter with the James Bond actor, Daniel Craig. She recalled the time when she encountered him at a Golden Globes event that turned out unusual as they struck up a conversation.
The duo was present across the room when their eyes met, which left the actress wondering whether she should approach him to greet him. But the next moment, the latter suddenly speaks, “F**k you.”
As she had already become known in the industry, she thought that he initiated speaking first as he recognized her. She continued,
“I was like, ‘Oh my God! I have just instantly become so famous that Daniel Craig is messing with me and we don’t even know each other. And all of a sudden he looks up and looks right at me, and he goes, ‘F**k you’. And so, of course, I’m like, ‘F**k you.”
Their long-distance conversation got more weird which eventually ended up with the former feeling humiliated.
Flipped The Bird But in Wrong Direction!
Their conversation continued to get more intense as the English actor flipped the bird toward the Batman star. In her response, she flipped her both middle fingers stating,
“Do you want me to turn it up?”
That eventually turned embarrassing for Valentine’s Day star as she misunderstood her to be his sign receiver. He stated, “Oh no, no, not you” and pointed behind her who turned out to be British director, Stephen Daldry. She then realized that he had been communicating with the director all along which left her humiliated.
She later admitted,
“That’s when I realised I’m just an idiot!”
She revealed that the duo later on pretended not to know each other which was kind of expected given the humiliating situation the duo went through at the party.
