Michael Jai White gives the reason why he can defeat Bruce Lee
Michael Jai White, who has vast experience in martial combats, once shared in an interview that he could beat martial art legend Bruce Lee in combat. Spawn Star said,
“Bruce Lee is 132 pounds. I outweigh him by 100 pounds. Size matters a great deal, it’s too big of a discrepancy. He could run across the street and I wouldn’t feel it.”
The actor received a lot of backlash from the fans of Bruce Lee, who criticized him for disrespecting the martial art icon.
White opened up in an interview with MIC, as he shared that he regretted saying he could win over the Enter The Dragon legend. He offered a public apology for his previous statement,
“Probably the thing I most regret ever saying in my life was telling non-fighters about me fighting Bruce Lee, a personal hero of mine, and millions of people. Real fighting is not like movie fighting. It would be very hard for Bruce Lee to fight a real fighter above 150 pounds. A 135-pound fighter will not beat a 235-pound fighter of similar skill. That’s crazy.”
The actor also shared in his interview with DJ Vlad that he regretted commenting about a made-up scenario regarding his fight with his idol Bruce Lee.
