Chris Evans Addresses his MCU Return
During the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, the Before We Go actor talked about his affection for Captain America, and how much it means to him. Chris Evans thinks that even though there are numerous stories to be told about Steve Rogers as Captain America, he does not want to mess up in any possible way.
“It’s tough, because look, I love that role deeply. He means so much to me, and I really do. Do I think there are more Steve Rogers stories to tell? Sure, but at the same time, I’m very, very precious with it. It’s like this little shiny thing that I have that I love so much and I just don’t want to mess up in any way.”
The actor concluded by saying that he was part of something special for a long time and teased the fans about his potential return to MCU as Steve Rogers for a future project.
“And I was a part of something that was so special for a really special period of time and in a way, it really landed so well. I don’t know. As much as I’m connected to that role and love telling those stories of working with those people, it doesn’t quite feel right, right now.”
Even though there is no date for Evans’ potential return to the MCU, fans believe that they might see the actor reprise his role in the Multiverse saga. And after the actor’s comments, fans have gone to Twitter to show love for the potential return of Steve Rogers.
Fans Want Steve Rogers to Return to The MCU
While the actor teased his potential return to Marvel as Steve Rogers, his comments suggest that Evans is at peace taking a step away from playing the legendary character. Nevertheless, fans are ecstatic to see the kid from Brooklyn save the world from Red Skull and numerous other iconic Marvel villains. While the actor said that the time is not right, fans are going to Twitter to share their theory regarding the possibilities of Rogers’ marvelous return to the franchise.
A fan tweets how they would appreciate it if they get to see the original Captain America again.
A fan believes that the actor would return as Steve Rogers when the new Avengers team will be made.
Another fan believes that the franchise would need to go back to Captain America and Iron Man because they were too popular, which is why, their departure affected the franchise so badly.
While most fans want Chris Evans to return, one fan believes the actor should not return because other characters are getting spotlights, and Roger’s return would affect them.
Even though it is unsure when Chris Evans would return to the MCU, there is a very strong probability that the actor might appear in either Avengers: The Kang Dynasty or Avengers: Secret Wars. These two films would be the biggest crossover event in the MCU, and just like previous Avengers films, there would be a lot of cameos and appearances, and hopefully, Evans’ character would be one of them.
