The television series based on the comic book of the same name follows Mark Grayson who struggles to follow up the same path as his father, who is the most powerful being on the planet. The series premiered in March 2021 on Amazon Prime Video and stars Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, and J. K. Simmons as the lead characters.
Followed by the massive success of the first season, Invincible was renewed for a second season earlier this month. Invincible season 2 is set to premiere later this year. As the Fall star reportedly joined the cast of the animated TV series, fans are excited to see which character he would voice in the upcoming season.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan Reportedly Joins Invincible Season 2
Jeffrey Dean Morgan has hinted at his involvement in the next season of Invincible. Invincible season 2 is expected to release later this year. While the studio has not confirmed anything, the new season could bring some new characters on screen, and one of these could be voiced by Dean Morgan.
The Losers star recently shared a new post on his Instagram with compendiums of Invincible Volume 2 and Invincible Volume 3. He captioned the post, “Doing a little reading. Thanks to #robertkirkman @invincible.hq.”
Dean Morgan’s new post is now taken as a hint that he could appear in the next season of the popular animated series. The studio has not confirmed the news yet. But the official Twitter account Invincible has shared Dean Morgan’s post via a tweet, saying, “Just a man reading the best superhero comic in the universe, nothing else to see here!!!”
Although nothing is confirmed about his appearance yet, fans are excited to know which character would The Walking Dead star be portraying in the upcoming season. Fans are also excited to see him joining his The Walking Dead co-star Steven Yeun on the show as Dean Morgan is expected to voice a supervillain in the next season of the animated series.

Which Character is Jeffrey Dean Morgan Playing in Invincible?
Not much information is available about the new cast and characters of Invincible season 2. However, Jeffrey Dean Morgan who has hinted at his involvement in the next season of the animated series, is expected to voice the main antagonist of the comic book series, Grand Regent Thragg.
The ruler of the Viltrumite Empire was trained to be the strongest among his race. Not just Viltrumite, he is also considered powerful enough to compete against the Omni-Man. In comics, the supervillain gets into combat with the Invincible and his father. Thragg does everything to save his planet and his people.
The character is expected to be introduced in Invincible season 2 and could be developed as the main antagonist for Mark Grayson in the future seasons of the series. Considering the Rampage star had two Invincible compendiums, it is also believed that he could appear in the upcoming seasons of the show, including season 2 and season 3.
Season 2 could introduce Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the most powerful Viltrumite and could continue as the character in the upcoming seasons as well. Invincible season 2 is expected to release in late 2023 on Prime Video.
