Henry Cavill’s Superman Exit Hits DCU Hard, Michael B. Jordan’s Black Superman Project Most Likely Scrapped as He Refuses To Answer Any Related Questions That Could Open Old Wounds

With the DCU inching towards its new Superman in the upcoming Superman: Legacy movie, fans have been curious about the Black Superman project, which reportedly included Michael B. Jordan at its forefront. But over the last few years, there have been little to no updates on the project and when the Creed actor was asked about the situation, the actor didn’t appear enthusiastic about the question.

And following his blunt response to the situation, it appears that the Creed actor is avoiding indulging himself in the controversy surrounding Superman after the exit of Henry Cavill from DC.

Michael B. Jordan refuses to indulge himself in the Superman situation

Ever since the axing of Henry Cavill from the role of Superman despite returning in the post-credit scene of Black Adam, fans have been fuming over Gunn’s decision and are blasting his upcoming Superman project. Following the controversies, emotions are running high within the fandom. And it seems that Michael B. Jordan has refused to indulge himself in the controversy.

And even though the actor previously denied his inclusion in any such project, recently in an interview with CinemaBlend, when he was asked about the project, his publicist shut him down from answering the question.

And following his denial and his publicist shutting him down, it appears that the Creed star is avoiding the heat surrounding Superman and his inclusion in the Black Superman project remains under question.

Michael B. Jordan’s inclusion in the Black Superman project remains uncertain

Even before the change in DC’s regime, the Black Superman project was reportedly being developed and in 2021, a new report claimed that Michael B. Jordan’s production company Outlier Society was involved with the project. And even though it was reported that the studio was assigned to create an HBO Max series about Val-Zod’s Superman, there haven’t been any official updates about the situation.

And even though James Gunn and Peter Safran previously confirmed that the Black Superman project, which is being written by Ta-Nehisi Coates’ is in development, and will be under the label of DC Elseworlds, the inclusion of B. Jordan remains uncertain.

Following the success of his directorial debut with Creed III, the actor seems to be currently focused on expanding the Creed franchise and is too busy to indulge himself in any Black Superman project. But if he is inclined to the role of Val-Zod, it might be a long while before we see him in action as Superman.
