They even discussed the possibility of Christopher Nolan being at the helm of writing and direction. Besides, they also spoke about the director’s role in choosing the next Bond will be crucial.
Talking about Nolan’s chances of directing the next Bond Film, Snieder said,
“You’re telling me that the stars aren’t aligned for Christopher Nolan to do this. Nolan’s 52 years old right now, okay, so if he’s not involved in choosing this Bond… Because he has expressed interest in doing Bond… It’s not like you wait 10 or 15 years and you direct this stuff in your 60s… Oppenheimer, which I think is going to get him a director nomination and could possibly win him an Oscar or maybe even win Best Picture… Maybe now is the time to go back to blockbuster filmmaking and doing so.”
That said, Henry Cavill, known for his portrayal of Superman, has been a subject of speculation and fan enthusiasm regarding his potential to play James Bond. And with Nolan rumored to be in the running to direct the next Bond film, Cavill’s chances to play the iconic spy have surged.
